The time it takes to charge the Tesla Model Y depends on the type of charging station you use. Both the Long Range and Performance versions of the Model Y can charge at an AC charging station at a maximum power of 11 kW. This means you can expect to charge from 0 to 100 percent in approximately 8 hours and 15 minutes.


Similarly, both the Long Range and Performance versions of the Model Y can also charge at a DC fast charging station at a maximum power of 250 kW. This means you can charge from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 27 minutes.

Where can I find a Tesla Supercharger?

The Tesla Supercharger is a Tesla-owned and operated DC fast charging station for electric vehicles. These charging stations are exclusively available to Tesla customers and are capable of delivering a maximum power output of 250 kW.

If you are a Tesla customer, then using the built-in navigation system or the Tesla app will be the easiest way to find a Supercharger for your Tesla Model Y. In fact, if necessary, the built-in navigation system will automatically direct you to any Superchargers on route and can advise you if there are any available spaces or not before you arrive.
