Electric car charging locations
You can charge your electric car anywhere you find an accessible charging station, be this at home, in public, or at your workplace. Below, we have listed five of the most common charging locations according to our Mobility Monitor report.
If you have access to off-street parking such as a driveway, garage, or a designated parking spot in a shared parking facility with a residential charging station, then charging at home will probably be your most regular charging location.
At the workplace
It is encouraging to know that many workplaces, such as offices, hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, hospitals, or any other business that may come to mind with reserved or (semi)public parking spots, now offer charging facilities.
At service and petrol stations
If you plan on making a long journey or are in need of a quick top-up, then you will most likely find a fast charging station capable of a quick charge on the highway or along major roads at service stops and gas stations.
In retail and hospitality car parks
If you are going out to do some shopping, eat a meal, find some entertainment, or anything of this nature, then you can expect to find charging stations at supermarkets, cinemas, hotels, cafés, restaurants, stadiums… the list goes on.
Not only does this refer to charging facilities at retail and hospitality locations, but this also includes along residential streets, along the highway, or around public buildings and institutions—essentially any public parking facility you can think of.
