The Renault Zoe charging time varies based on the type of charging station you use. There are two Renault Zoe electric models – the Renault Zoe ZE50 R110 and the ZE50 R135, both with a 52 kWh usable battery capacity.
With a standard AC charging station, the Renault Zoe has a maximum power capacity of 22 kilowatts (kW), meaning it would take around 2 hours and 37 minutes to charge from 0 to 100 percent.
Using a DC fast charging station, the Renault Zoe can handle a maximum power of 46 kW, meaning it would take around 52 minutes to charge from 10 to 80 percent.
There are multiple ways to charge the Renault Zoe, depending on your needs and situation. The cheapest and most convenient way to charge is using a dedicated home EV charging station, which can charge your car when parked in your driveway and lets you always leave the house with a full battery.
Alternatively, there is a range of public charging options, with standard AC charging widely available in many common public locations such as parking garages, restaurants, shops, hotels, and offices. If you need a quicker top-up, DC fast charging stations can fill up the Renault Zoe in under an hour, depending on their power output.
The range of a Renault Zoe varies based on the model:
*These estimates are based on the WLTP ratings and the actual range may vary based on factors such as speed, weather conditions, and elevation change.
The Renault Zoe price varies depending on the model, dealership, and your location. Starting prices range from €34,895 and €36,195* in the EU and £29,995* in the UK.
*Prices were taken at the time of writing from Renault’s website. The Renault Zoe is not available in the US.
Despite its affordable price, the Renault Zoe doesn’t sacrifice features. The Renault Zoe specs include a range of comfort and convenience equipment, including automatic lights and windscreen wipers and hands-free entry using the Renault key card. Technology is at the center of the Renault Zoe, with a 9.3-inch screen on the dashboard that supports enhanced connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for easy access to information and entertainment.
The Renault Zoe also places a strong emphasis on safety, with advanced driver assistance systems including blind spot warning, lane keep assist, and active emergency braking.
The Renault Zoe interior has been redesigned with comfort, sleekness, and sustainability in mind. The new dashboard features a dynamic screen that can display navigation, traffic, and multimedia information on top of speed and vehicle status right under the driver’s eyes.
The new seats include height-adjustable front seatbelts, a center rear headrest, and optionally heated front seats and steering wheel. The seat upholstery is made using recycled PET material to minimize the Renault Zoe’s environmental impact.
Both models of Renault Zoe have the same weight and size. They have a length of 4,087 mm, a width of 1,787 mm (1,945 mm including mirrors), and a height of 1,562 mm. It has a 338 L cargo volume.
The Renault Zoe has a gross vehicle weight (GVWR) of 1,988 kg, with a maximum payload of 486 kg.
The Renault Zoe charging cost varies based on the type of charging. Home EV charging is the most affordable, followed by public AC charging, with DC fast charging being the most expensive (but quickest) way to charge.
The table below offers an overview of the approximate charging costs for each mode.
Charging station type (right) Renault Zoe model (below) | Home (AC) cost per kWh: $0.15 | Public (AC) cost per kWh: $0.35 + $1 connection fee | Fast (DC) cost per kWh: $0.60 + $2 connection fee |
