BUMP Charge and EVBox: a trusted partnership to deploy fast charging at scale
Since 2021, BUMP Charge, a charging operator for fleets, real estate owners, and transport and logistics players, has relied on EVBox to support the deployment of its fast-charging network in France.
A long-standing partnership built on trust, operational performance, and the ability to scale.
A fast-growing operator with high standards
Initially highly active in the retail segment, BUMP Charge quickly structured a fast-charging network capable of meeting the most demanding operational constraints. To support this growth, the operator was looking for infrastructure able to guarantee a high level of reliability, optimized maintenance, and a quality of service above the market average.
Following the success of their first collaboration at the Hotel The Original Boutique Montmartre in Paris, BUMP Charge and EVBox formed a partnership in 2021 with a shared ambition: to deliver a high-performance and sustainable charging experience for both site operators and end users.
Scaling up without compromising reliability
Today, nearly 200 EVBox Troniq Modular charging stations have been deployed by BUMP Charge, mainly at high-traffic retail locations.
Over the past six months, the network has achieved a hardware availability rate of 99.4%—a key performance indicator for BUMP, whose objective is to maintain one of the highest service levels on the market.
This performance is based on a clear technological choice: a charging station designed to last, scalable, and built for industrial operations.
“The EVBox Troniq Modular is a pleasure to operate. Labor maintenance costs per charger are up to twice as low as those of other manufacturers.”
Yacine Ait-Meddour, Head of Maintenance at BUMP.
A partnership evolving with market needs
Over the years, the collaboration between BUMP Charge and EVBox has strengthened and expanded. Building on the reliability demonstrated at its retail sites, BUMP decided to extend the partnership to even more demanding environments, particularly depot charging and logistics applications.
In this context, EVBox supported BUMP in evolving its solutions by integrating key features expected by the market. The Wake-Up function, developed in 2025 at the request of several operators including BUMP, specifically meets the requirements of heavy-duty vehicle manufacturers for depot charging.
Testing and validation with Renault Trucks were carried out at one of BUMP’s flagship sites: the Urban Logistics Hotel (HLU) in Lyon Gerland, where electric vehicles can charge on a 240 kW EVBox Troniq Modular station operated by BUMP Charge. This pilot site illustrates the partnership’s ability to turn concrete industrial needs into operational solutions deployable at scale.

Five years of trust and a shared vision
After five years of collaboration, BUMP Charge and EVBox share a resolutely operational vision of fast charging:
- reliable infrastructure,
- optimized operations,
- and the ability to industrialize large-scale deployments.
We have decided to strengthen our collaboration with EVBox. Our shared objective is to deliver very high levels of service to our customers, and therefore the highest-quality charging equipment, in order to take our commitment to electric mobility to the next level.”
François Paradis, COO and Co-founder of BUMP.
As BUMP Charge’s network continues to expand, EVBox remains a key technology partner to support growth, ensure installation performance, and drive the transition toward reliable and sustainable electric mobility.
