In 2025, EVBox participated in the 18th edition of the Solutrans Exhibition, held in Lyon from Tuesday, November 18 to Saturday, November 22. This major event, dedicated to innovations in road and urban transport, provided the perfect opportunity to showcase our MCS solution (Megawatt Charging System), designed to address the challenges of heavy-duty electric mobility and enable long-distance truck fleets to charge faster than ever.
What is MCS?
MCS is the new high-power charging standard for heavy vehicles, combining:
- A connector dedicated to heavy-duty trucks
- Voltage up to 1,250 V
- Current up to 3,000 A
- Advanced communication compliant with ISO 15118
Thanks to these features, MCS allows electric trucks to regain long-distance range in under 45 minutes, paving the way for more practical and sustainable long-haul journeys.

A Standardized Innovation Supported by Europe
Developed by CharIN in collaboration with leading manufacturers and suppliers, MCS is currently undergoing standardization (SAE / IEC). The European Union is accelerating its adoption through the AFIR regulation, which sets charging requirements on corridors dedicated to electric heavy trucks, ensuring rapid and harmonized deployment across the continent.
Compatibility Already Announced by Manufacturers
Several major transport companies have confirmed the introduction of MCS in their long-haul models:
- Mercedes-Benz AG: eActros 600, testing up to 1,000 kW
- MAN Truck & Bus France: eTGX / eTGS, MCS option up to 750 kW
- Volvo Trucks: compatible long-haul versions, 750–1,000 kW
- Scania Group: first compatible trucks from early 2026
- Renault Trucks: E-Tech T 780 and E-Tech T 585, up to 720 kW
The ecosystem for ultra-fast heavy-duty charging is currently under development.

EVBox and MCS: Supporting Fleets Toward Zero Emissions
At Solutrans, EVBox presented its MCS solution, designed to help professional fleets transition to zero-emission heavy transport. Visitors were able to explore our innovations and witness live demonstrations, showcasing how our technology simplifies and accelerates the charging of electric trucks.
The exhibition provided a unique opportunity to meet partners, customers, and industry experts to discuss the future of sustainable transport and innovative solutions for electrifying heavy fleets.
EVBox thanks all visitors who came to discover our solutions and share their vision of electric mobility. To learn more about our MCS offering and other innovations, stay connected via our website and social media channels!
